Thomas Jones is a Senior Managing Director and seasoned financial restructuring professional with over 30 years of experience providing corporate restructuring, turnaround consulting, interim management, forensic accounting, audit, and other advisory services. During the past 25 years, he has managed numerous high profile bankruptcy reorganizations, out of court negotiations, complex accounting investigations, managed winddowns, and Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors.
Mr. Jones has extensive experience in the monetization of distressed assets through expedited sale processes and specializes in maximizing recovery for lenders, creditors and private equity investors. He has extensive cash management and working capital expertise and has analyzed the financial statements, net asset values and on-going viability of countless companies, spanning a variety of industries.
Prior to joining Sherwood, Mr. Jones held leadership and advisory roles at several highly regarded financial consulting firms including Ernst & Young, Mesirow Financial Consulting, and FTI Consulting. He has a proven sales record of sourcing significant new client business, securing "add-on" services with existing clients and winning complex client mandates.
Mr. Jones has Bachelor of Science in Accounting and is an actively licensed CPA in New York State. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and continues his active involvement with the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) Turnaround Management Association (TMA), and Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA).
